As a Chartered Builder (MCIOB) , Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (ACIEH), full member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI) and an Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS) having over 40 years of experience within Construction & Housing Services, I am an extremely competent diagnostic Building Surveyor, I am fully conversant with Landlord and Tenants Act 1985 S11, Part 35, Defective Premises Act 1972 S4, Environmental Protection Act 1990 S79 & S80, RRO 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).and have represented a number of client by undertaking various roles and responsibilities.

As the Director of Paul Barnes Surveying Limited, I engage a small team of finance and administration staff, my company receives formal legal disrepair instructions from a number of surveying companies, local authorities and county councils , I prepare and provide detailed reports, Scott Schedules with full specifications, photographic evidence and I hold a licence that enables me to operate a drone so that I can provide clients ariel photographic evidence such as roofs & external components to minimise the risk when considering working at height.

As an Expert Witness I conduct myself in a professional, emphatic and act with integrity at all times.
